We were most pleased that this property actually has a beautiful sandy beaches (two) with complimentary cabana's. There was never a problem getting chairs (which cushions) or a shaded cabana either at the pool or the beach. There are complimentary snorkel sets, surf boards and boogy boards. We are scuba divers but went snorkeling at the property and were so happy to see 5-6 large green turtles while snorkeling! All the Hotels come close enough to touch but it is against the law to since they are endagered. The turtles even come to the hotelel's beach to sun bathe. The hotelel is very active in preserving these endagered turtles and even raises them until they are large enough to be set free which they do every.
The pool attendants bring free popsicles and small smoothies with cool towels throughout the day.
We saved on breakfast by going to the mall nearby and getting breakfast and snack foods and using the in room fridge. There is a free shuttle to the mall or a 10 min walk the Hotels. The restaurants all offer huge discounts for dinner if you eat before 6pm. We didn;t love the sushi place but the thai food was great. There is also a mall a few miles down near the hIlton which has a food court with fast food which is great if you are lookignto save money or aren't big eaters, like us.
FYI-renting a car is a must if you want the freedomt to explore the island and hotelel. Very easy driving and impossible to get lost since only a few major roads.
My husband and I stayed six nights at the Hotel for our honeymoon and loved it!! We booked through hotelel and got a deal...stay five nights and get the sixth free and breakfast for two daily. It is the bed & breakfast package and I recommend it if you can find it. The breakfast buffet is delicious!
I was very pleased with the hotelel from the moment we arrived. It is beautiful! The staff was friendly and accomodating. We were in our room within a few minutes after our arrival. Our room was very nice and convieniently located near the pool and beach. It was also very quiet.
The beach and pool were both fantastic! Beach and pool chairs were always readily available. Hotel's Service was great again at both. We really enjoyed snorkeling from the beach. It is a very short swim to see marine life. We saw numerous sea turtles, colorful fish and even an eel. It is a nice way to go snorkeling for anyone who may not be too fond of being on boats like me.
There is a Macy's located in the and the employees there maintained the same high level of customer service as the staff of the hotelel . There is also a grocery store, a few restaurants, and various shops right down the road from the hotelel. We ate at Tommy Bahama's twice and loved our dinners both nights.
There is honestly not one negative comment I could make about the . You cannot help but feel relaxed in such a serene enviornment. We spent the last few nights of our trip at the Four Seasons to treat ourselves. It was a great resort, but you get more for your money at the i. If I were to return to the Big Island I would definitely stay at the hotelel again.
